Do you feel like your life is slipping through your fingers? I did.
That's such a strong and painful feeling when we're finally willing to admit that we're not happy. That this is not the life we want. That there is still so much unfulfilled potential in us that is craving to burst into the world, to be activated and actualized.
We feel that when we sit on the fence and avoid making difficult decisions. When we compare ourselves to others and get envious and bitter. When we're stuck but too proud to ask for help, not willing to admit, not willing to change our lives, to make the effort, to invest the necessary funds.
It happens when we ask the wrong questions. Questions like:
Can I afford it? Instead of “What do really I want?”
What is more comfortable? What is easier? Instead of “What is important?”
What will other people think, say or do? Instead of looking inside.
What will not upset others? What will satisfy mom/dad? Instead of “What will make me feel proud of myself?”
The right questions are questions that connect us with our truth and wisdom and take us in the direction of your deep calling.
I watched my life go by. I felt unworthy, unhappy, fat, miserable, full of self-doubt in my abilities to change my reality. Every time someone came to rescue me, I swiped it away. The excuses were abundant, and the scarcity was too. It was very challenging to see beyond that point, to see that abundance was waiting for me. I just needed to make some adjustments.
Change came only when I realized that I'm sitting on the fence and will sit on it until I die - unless I change. I could wait for a wake-up call from the universe, in the form of disease or a car crash - when you don't listen, the universe tends to get louder.
I pictured myself in 20 years down the road - doing what I did, having the belief system I had, and the picture was... well... not worth living. I'll be honest, it took me a few times to revisit that gloomy future picture before I took steps. But, I did, and I've been growing in leaps ever since.
Don't wait for the universe to knock on your door.
Don't wait until you have money, don't wait until your kids are big enough or move out, or until all your issues will be solved.
Don't wait for another emotional collapse or until the next wrinkle shows up.
Make the life that you want.
Create the life that you dream of.
Create a business to be proud of.
