What do you really want?
Such a simple question can be so challenging to answer. How do you answer that after years of disconnecting from your authentic self? The struggle connecting to our true desires hinders our ability to manifest abundance. Little kids know pretty well what they want and they usually want it now. The disconnection from our desires is not natural. We may have been taught to be content with what we have, and view desires as unnecessary indulgences. We might have conditioned to feel guilty for wanting more.
The fear from wanting may stems from the fear disappointment, failure and rejection. And in my case it comes from never been asked what do I want. So, I had to build this muscle later in life. The fear of wanting can be a combination societal expectations, past disappointments, and a scarcity mindset. We may fear that our desires are too much or unrealistic. Additionally, we may believe wanting for ourselves is selfish and egoistic and feel guilty when we compare ourselves to others who has less luck.
This patterning prevents us from acknowledging our deepest aspirations and wishes, leaving us feeling unfulfilled, stifled and utterly depressed. These emotions when go unprocessed can prevent us from tapping into our full potential and living in abundance.

How to break free the fear of wanting?

Reconnecting with your desires begins with acknowledging and accepting that wanting is a natural part of being human. Embrace the understanding that your desires are valid and deserving of pursuit.
Allow yourself to dream big and explore what truly brings you joy and fulfillment. Give yourself permission to want without judgment, fear or guilt. Ask yourself if I was selfish and egoistic (and that was perfect) what would I want for my life? Ask yourself is it safe for you to want more or better life?
Challenge your limiting beliefs that hold you back. Ask yourself: What will happen if you be fully you? What are you afraid of?

Surround yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals who encourage your growth and help you redefine what is possible. This is essential step, but it’s not the first, so take it easy.

So, if you don’t know what you want and are feeling disconnected from your true desires, you are probably also suffer from scarcity mindset and are not feeling fulfilled and empowered in your life.
